#MarkHunt has come a long way in the last 12 years, but before he was the powerhouse heavyweight he is now, he was a new professional coming off a debut loss with a lot to prove.
Rewind to October 31, 2004: Hunt was coming off a loss to Hidehiko Yoshida at Pride FC: Critical Countdown. He was entering the ring 0-1 as a professional, and knew he needed this win in order to solidify his place in the growing sport.
He did just that.
Hunt defeated Dan Bobish via first round technical knockout after a massive body kick.
He would go on to win another four in a row, including wins over Wanderlei Silva and Mirko "CroCop" Filipovic. He's since become known for his signature walk off knockouts, and at 42-years-old, is still fighting.
His most recent win came at UFC Fight Night Brisbane when he defeated Frank Mir via a first round KO.
Hunt is currently under contract with the UFC, but has asked to be released after losing his bout with Brock Lesnar at UFC 200 (who was later flagged for a doping violation). Hunt has been vocal about his anger with the promotion for allowing fighters to compete who are found to be using PEDs.
He has no fights booked currently, and has a 12-11 professional record.
