During a Q&A session at a recent Heroes & Villains Fan Fest, the wrestler-turned-actor was asked by a fan which GOTG co-star he'd like to do a tag team match with, according to Comicbook.com. Since Bautista was accompanied onstage by actor Michael Rooker, it's no surprise that Drax's pick would be the man behind Yondu, the blue leader of the Ravagers.
“Rooker,” Bautista reportedly told the crowd. “He’s basically Ric Flair, but in better shape!”
Rooker's a pretty solid choice, considering he has a penchant for kicking alien butts on the big screen. Plus, he also knows how to perfectly slay zombies thanks to his unforgettable run on AMC's #TheWalkingDead.
While it's a nice honor for Rooker to be the first round draft pick of a former WWE megastar, hopefully Bautista's other Guardians pals won't be too offended by his choice, particularly Star-Lord, aka former Parks and Recreation actor Chris Pratt. Earlier this year, Bautista gave Pratt and his wife Anna Faris a pro-wrestling clinic and showed them how to do a "Batista Bomb" in a hilarious Instagram video.
It will be interesting to see if any of these amazing WWE moves make it into next year's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
