April featured more than a few exciting boxing matches. Shawn Porter showed that he belongs among the elite of the welterweight division and Anthony Joshua proved that heavyweight boxing is alive and well.

Their TKO victories were great but there are plenty of other impressive knockouts from the month of April. Take a look at our list of the month's best boxing knockouts.

Anthony Joshua vs. Wladimir Klitschko

  • Date: April 29, 2017
  • Round of stoppage: 11th round TKO

Joshua's 11th round TKO of Klitschko may not be the most devastating of the month, but it may very well be the most impactful. It signaled the mainstream revival of heavyweight boxing and put his name in the running for the biggest star in boxing.

Claudio Marrero vs. Carlos Zambrano

  • Date: April 29, 2017
  • Round of stoppage: 1st round KO

A fight that was in the shadow of Joshua-Klitschko, Marrero made quick work of Zambrano and captured the WBA interim championship.

Jessie Magdaleno vs. Adeilson Dos Santos

  • Date: April 22, 2017
  • Round of stoppage: 1st round KO

25-year-old Jessie Magdaleno pushed his record to 25-0 and further established himself as a fighter to look out for in 2017 and beyond.

Jermell Charlo vs. Charles Hatley

  • Date: April 22, 2017
  • Round of stoppage: 6th round KO

In what few will argue is the knockout of the month -- quite possibly the year when it is all said and done -- Charlo's measured counter right hand turned out the lights for Hatley.

Shawn Porter vs. Andre Berto

  • Date: April 22, 2017
  • Round of stoppage: 9th round TKO

Shawn Porter used his hands, and head, to wear down Andre Berto in their match up. Porter's body punches eventually led to some devastating flurries and the TKO.

Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Jason Sosa

  • Date: April 8, 2017
  • Round of stoppage: 9th round TKO

At this point, it's common for Lomachenko's opponents to quit before the end of fights. Whether they are mentally frustrated by his precision or physically beat down by his power shots, not many opponents have proven tough enough to go the distance with Lomachenko.
