EA Sports has announced the release their third UFC installment, "EA Sports UFC 3."
A report by Polygon has the new UFC game hitting stores during the fourth fiscal quarter of 2018. EA Sports UFC 3 will release shortly after other popular EA Sports titles such as FIFA 18, NBA Live, and Madden 18.
The release of the video game is still a long way out, but there's no reason for fans to temper their excitement.
"EA Sports UFC 2" featured improved gameplay and several surprise characters. The game also featured a huge roster of active UFC talent for gamers to choose from. It's safe to assume the next installment will look to build upon the success of its predecessor and improve in several aspects.
The roster of available characters is often the most anticipated part of the game's launch and we've decided to offer on opinion on which fighters deserve to be added to the "EA Sports UFC 3" roster.
The UFC video games are known for having guest characters from throughout the history of combat sports and there's no better time to feature Floyd "Money" Mayweather than after a boxing match with Conor McGregor. If the fight doesn't happen for some reason, the game will allow fans to play out their "what if" scenarios virtually.
Another great non-UFC roster addition would be the late Kimbo Slice. Kimbo has UFC experience and adding him to the game is a great way to honor his fighting legacy. Would it be too much to ask if we wanted a backyard bare knuckle brawl level?
Angie Hill, who contributes to Champions' #FighterBlogs section, is one of the best characters in MMA today and her persona is built for a video game. Just as she mentioned in a recent post, Hill always take inspiration from video games, and it'd be great for the game to feature a few of her most memorable weigh-in costumes as part of her selection screen avatar.
In case you've been living under a rock for the past year and a half, Mickey Gall is a legit MMA fighter and with victories over CM Punk and Sage Northcutt, he's primed to become a star for the company.
Gaethje will probably have had a few UFC fights by the time the game is released, so it'll be much easier to gauge his stats, but we'd already suggest giving him a 100% for aggression.
Ngannou is a forced to be reckoned with in the UFC's heavyweight division and with power like his, it's easy to see him becoming a favorite for fans of EA Sports UFC.
Duquesnoy is another Frenchman, and another Fighter Blogs contributor, to make our list. He's considered one of the UFC's brightest young prospects and his highlight reel finishes make him perfect for the game.
Bring on another UFC newcomer. Moraes is an MMA veteran but allowing fans to create fantasy matchups within the game makes all of the sense in the world.
Destruction. That's all you need to know about Mike Perry.
Calvillo has made quite the impression on UFC President Dana White and her well-rounded skills make her a sneaky women's strawweight selection for competitive gamers.
