Ahead of the upcoming release of Baywatch and his appearance on the season finale of NBC's Saturday Night Live, Dwayne Johnson returned to the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and boy did they have a lot to talk about.

The star turned world's highest-paid actor has been making headlines recently for his apparent interest in possibly running for president in 2020. The story has become the fodder for late-night television this week, so of course Fallon had to ask The Rock about the situation.

While the wrestler and action star tried to give a diplomatic response, he did throw a little shade at WWE Hall of Fame member and current Commander-in-Chief, Donald Trump.

I'm so incredibly flattered that there's a national poll that came out this past week, like real news channels, a real national poll that brought together Republicans and Democrats saying that I would beat Donald Trump if we had an election today to become president. I've really been blown away. It's so flattering. You asked the question why, I think it's because people want to see a different leadership today, or I'm sorry, not different, but a better leadership today. I think more poise, less noise.

Judging by the huge round of applause The Rock received from the crowd after his statement, it sounds like it shouldn't be too hard to get him enough supporters to get on a ballot in the near future.

Aside from the political talk, the actor, of course, had to take part in one of Fallon's famous late-night games. This time, they donned wigs while getting their minds blown by The Roots' Questlove.
