Dustin Poirier may not have come up with the win at UFC 211 this weekend, but thanks to his generosity, a charity will. #DustinPoirier is auctioning off his UFC fight kit, which he wore in his fight with Eddie Alvarez, with 100-percent of the proceeds going to the Second Harvest Food Bank in his hometown of Lafayette, LA.
Poirier faced #EddieAlvarez in the featured prelim on the FX portion of the UFC 211 card in one of the craziest fights that night. Poirier dominated Alvarez for most of the fight and was gearing up for a likely win when Alvarez rallied back to put Poirier in immediate danger. Unfortunately, due to an illegal knee landed by Alvarez (that was later ruled accidental), the fight was stopped and ruled a no-contest.
The auction includes his black and white Reebok walk-out suit (pants and jacket) plus his blue fight shorts, UFC shirt plus his gloves, hand wraps and hat. At press time, the kit has reached over $1600 with more than 30 bids.
