We're still a few weeks away from the historic card, but it's already breaking records.

According to UFC president, Dana White, who recently spoke on FS1's pregame show, UFC 205 has already broken a record for the gate sales for Madison Square Garden.

"All the legendary fights that have been held there, all the legendary events and we actually broke the gate record for so, so far so good, I'm excited," White said.

"It's the biggest, baddest card we've ever done in the history of the company," White said.

The record was previously held by the 1999 boxing match between Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield, which took in $13.5 million with over 21,000 fans in attendance.

No official numbers have been released for UFC 205, but White is under the impression the event has already done better.

In terms of a UFC record, the biggest live gate was UFC 129 in 2011, when Georges St-Pierre faced Jake Shields in Toronto. It totaled $12,075,000 with over 55,000 fans in attendance.

"Obviously, our first time going into MSG, and it's been such a big deal getting in there, I wanted to make sure when we went to New York, we delivered," he said.
