No wonder had a big smile on his face last evening. Not only did deliver some fantastic fights, but the event was the highest grossing sporting event in the history of the Sprint Centre in Kansas City.

Having just witnessed his UFC flyweight champion retain his title for the tenth time, White spoke to and heaped praise on .

"When you're the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world, and you keep getting better, it's ridiculous, it's scary, it's amazing--he's a freak of nature," White said. "I'm really happy for him."

While happy at what he'd just seen, White then somewhat moved to cool any short-term talk of Johnson and UFC bantamweight champion, , having a super fight.

"If I'm him, if I'm 'Mighty Mouse', then I stay [at flyweight] and I just beat the record and just continue to smash the record," White said. "Let Cody Garbrandt, or whoever it might be, get a few wins under his belt and take some of the top guys in the division--maybe there's a chance for a super fight down the road."

The UFC President then confirmed that Johnson would be receiving the eight championship title belts that the UFC owe him. The UFC had failed to provide Johnson with a replica title belt after his last eight title defenses, but White insisted he'd make it up to him.

Talk then turned to a woman who's hoping to get her own shot at a UFC title soon, .

"She looked amazing tonight," White said. "She put on a performance of a lifetime. There was a lot of hype behind 'The Hottie' and her last victory over Paige VanZant, and she came out and solidified herself [as the number one contender]. You know, she called out the person who wins the title next time, so I think she's ready."

In what some were calling the 'upset of the evening', took out Jacare Souza via second round TKO. Suffice to say the boss was impressed with what he'd seen from the Australian.

"I said this first clinch was going to determine the fight, and when he got out of that--he hits really hard," White said. "I mean, he fought the perfect fight. He was very calm and composed and at times he would hurt Jacare, but then wait for the perfect moment to go in for the kill."

What's next for Robert Whittaker remains to be seen, but when you're impressing the boss it's never a bad night at the office.
