"The Notorious" Conor McGregor is one of the most impressive fighters in the UFC right now. He currently sits at #2 in the pound-for-pound rankings.
One reason so much attention is focused on the two-weight champion (aside from those two shiny belts that is) is the fact that he's so confident, and often hilarious, in his trash talking. To put it bluntly: he is the king of mental warfare.
Interestingly, this isn't a new development in his persona. Would you be surprised to know that the Dublin-born fighter always had this witty humour and outlandish insults, before he even touched fame?
McGregor's Trash Talk Has Always Packed a Punch
Well, people have gone in time back to 2011 and dug up some posts that Conor McGregor himself posted on an Irish forum site called Boards.ie. "The Notorious" used the site to call out Irish fighter, Conor Dillon — check out the results for yourself:
Dont worry folks i reply to any call out even if it is against a little white guy who thinks he is a big black guy,,,,

As you can see, 2011 McGregor is classic McGregor. This post is great evidence to show people that McGregor hasn't changed with fame — he's always been the same!

McGregor is known for being somebody who can predict his future. Last week, he shared a tweet he had from 2014 stating he would eventually have 2 belts and a share in the UFC. This brings us to 2016, where McGregor does indeed have the two belts, and the Irish fighter stated after his win over Eddie Alvarez that he wants a stake in the UFC, or he won't fight again! Check out his eerily accurate tweet below:
This tweet is but a blip on the scale of how good Conor McGregor is at predicting fights — he's not called Mystic Mac for no reason. My favorite prediction McGregor has ever called out was when he predicted he would be a UFC world champion way back when he was on 19 years old! Take a look at some of his best predictions below.
Conor McGregor announced at his last fight against Eddie Alvarez that he was expecting a baby, and so he said he'll be taking a break from UFC. Do you guys think McGregor will stand by what he said and take a long time out, or do you think we'll see him very soon? I'm hoping we'll see him defend his belt soon, but I'd love to know what you guys think!
