The boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor will be the biggest purse the Irish mixed martial arts champion has ever seen. He has claimed the highest paydays for his sport and in doing so, elevated mixed martial arts' visibility to the casual combat sports fan. The man knows he's interesting and entertaining and in a social media post hinted at “another power move” for fans to get excited about pertaining to all things McGregor.

In what looks to be a presentation by Universal Pictures “in association with McGregor Sports & Entertainment” the intro to a film that features McGregor seems to be in production. The short clip shows McGregor as we know him today as well as some footage of him in his early days before the beard and tattoos covered the man that would become known as “The Notorious” Conor McGregor. Given his humble beginnings and the way he skyrocketed to stardom in the UFC and became their biggest draw. When looking back at the sale of the UFC in July of 2016, the name of McGregor and Ronda Rousey always seem to be connected to the 4 billion dollar price tag. McGregor’s history in the sport does make for a nice “rags to riches” story.

Coincidentally, his press tour begins this week for his upcoming bout with Mayweather and win or lose, if the film brings fans an inside look at everything leading up to such a huge event it is sure to be worthy of a theatrical release.
