The pair will join a broadcast team that will include Jimmy Smith, Jenn Brown, Chael Sonnen and Brendan Schuab on fight night. Speaking via a press release earlier today, Bellator CEO spoke of his delight for his new team.

Spike SVP, Sports and Specials Jon Slugger also stated: "The addition of highly-regarded announcers Mauro and Mike to our fantastic lineup of broadcasters, and our first-rate production led by Scott Fishman, further demonstrates our commitment MMA fans and expanding the global Bellator brand."

Goldberg joins Bellator having called his last UFC event on December 30, 2016 at : Rousey vs. Nunes. He had been in the role of the UFC's play-by-play commentator for over 20-years, but was let go by the UFC's new owners WME-IMG when they decided not to renew his last deal.

The former UFC man will be joined by Ranallo, who is one of the most well respected veterans on the combat sports circuit. Having commentated across everything including MMA, boxing and kick boxing, Ranallo signed as the lead announcer for WWE Smackdown in January 2016, but left the position last March after mutually agreeing to part ways with the company amidst a bullying scandal involving John "Bradshaw" Layfield.
