In the information age, things move at the speed of light.
As fight fans froth at the mouth for fight announcements for UFC 205, Twitter is already lighting up with possible UFC 207 match-ups.
There are cyber-whispers of Cody Grabrandt and Dominick Cruz becoming officially slated for the card. Tonight, Garbdrandt himself made his prophecy that he'd take Cruz's belt before next year...Or was it more of a promise?
After this tweet, it certainly looks like Garbrandt may know something we don't. Fox Sports reporter, Damon Martin confirmed that there is at least some talk of the match-up happening behind the scenes.
If that's any indication, then UFC 207 is shaping up nicely already.
After Daniel Cormier had to refuse a fight with Anthony Johnson at UFC 205, he then offered the fight at UFC 207. Of course, Dana White has also said that he's confident Ronda Rousey would return before the end of the year, too. With that in mind, all the rumored fights for the December year-end card look like this:
- Amanda Nunes vs Ronda Rousey
- Daniel Cormier vs Anthony Johnson II
- Dominick Cruz vs Cody Garbrandt
- Cain Velasquez vs Fabricio Werdum II
If this comes true, the UFC will add this to the mega cards they've attempted this year with UFC 200, UFC 205 at Madison Square Garden and now, UFC 207.
Get pumped up for the match-up by this flashback to the trash talk Cruz had for Garbrandt, post-UFC 202.
