Former UFC middleweight champion went undefeated for nearly six years before falling to at UFC 194. He then failed to get back in the win column when he was defeated again at UFC 205 by Yoel Romero. Now, the former champion is hinting that the light heavyweight division might be in store for him.

“It could be a possibility, but I would need a little more time,” Weidman said to MMAJunkie this past weekend while attending UFC Albany.

Weidman also said he'd be interested in a middleweight bout at in February, although he's medically suspended until the end of January, so its unlikely he'll be ready to fight that soon.

He says that he won't be focusing too much on his loss to Yoel Romero because what's most important is what's next for his career.

“I could go on forever about the mistake I made and start going crazy over it, but I’ve just got to live and learn and move on,” he said.

Weidman was hoping for the next shot at current middleweight champion Michael Bisping, but since the loss, it's likely Romero who will get the next title shot.

He is still considered to be one of the best UFC middleweights boasting a 13-2 record and sitting at the number four spot in the middleweight rankings.
