Morphinominal martial arts moves have always been a staple of the Power Rangers franchise, and the upcoming reboot will definitely honor that tradition.

As fans patiently wait for the "teenagers with attitude" to return to the big screen, we decided to take a look at which UFC stars could fill their shoes. They already have the fighting part down, so all they really need are the zords and spandex suits.

Check out our list of UFC stars cast as characters from Power Rangers below.

Zordon - Dana White

Bryan Cranston is obviously a great choice to play Zordon in the reboot movie, but if a UFC star were to take on the role, there's really only one person for the job: Dana White.

The floating face trapped in a time warp was a mentor to the Power Rangers and the person responsible for gathering the team together. Aside from being the promotion's go-to talking head and helping to sign fighters from time to time, the UFC president doesn't really share Zordon's personality, but at least he's got his look down, right?

Rita Repulsa - Ronda Rousey

While the original Rita Repulsa was a cackling villain with a 10,000 year old grudge against Zordon and his team, the latest incarnation of the character has more of a tragic backstory. The new Rita, played by Elizabeth Banks, is said to be a former Power Ranger who falls from grace before going down the path of the dark side.

Former UFC champion Ronda Rousey isn't exactly a villain, but she's definitely turned heel on a few occasions and has lost a lot of love from fair weather fight fans after her back-to-back defeats. Although she'd make a great Rita, let's hope Rousey doesn't break bad like the alien antagonist in real life.

Pink Ranger/Kimberly - Paige VanZant

Kimberly, the pink Power Ranger, was a favorite among fans for her beauty, grace, and ability to kick some serious Putty ass. Since strawweight star Paige VanZant has a lot in common with the beloved heroine, she'd be perfect for the role.

Plus, they both have a penchant for pink, so it's a match made in Angel Grove.

Blue Ranger/Billy - Demetrious Johnson

Billy, the blue Power Ranger, didn't get a lot of respect due to his nerdy tendencies, but he was by far the smartest character on the show. The same could be said for UFC flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson, who deserves a lot more attention that he gets from fans.

DJ is arguably the promotion's most tactical fighter, owning an arsenal and ability to gameplan that's virtually unmatched inside the Octagon. Since he's also never afraid to get his nerd on, the champ would make a great Billy.

Yellow Ranger/Trini - Amanda Nunes

Originally played by the late Thuy Trang, Trini, the yellow Power Ranger, is getting a complete makeover for the reboot movie. No longer a quiet, straight-A student, actress Becky G's interpretation of the character will give her more of a bad girl edge.

Reigning bantamweight queen Amanda Nunes has things in common with both versions of the character. While she's normally quiet and reserved, get on her bad side, and Nunes will unleash her full fury, both with her fists and her words.

Black Ranger/Zack - Cody Garbrandt

If you're still wondering how Cody Garbrandt danced away with the title after his fight with Dominick Cruz, perhaps he took some HipHopKido lessons from the Black Ranger.

Zack had a unique fighting style on the show, blending slick dance moves with powerful martial arts kicks and punches. Since that's pretty much how Garbrandt fought while taking the bantamweight title, he'd make a great Black Ranger.

Red Ranger/Jason - Jose Aldo

As the leader of the Power Rangers, Jason was a fearsome warrior who led by example. That description could also apply to Jose Aldo, who likes to let his fists do the talking, well, at least when he's not being verbally assaulted by his opponent.

The Brazilian bruiser would make a great Jason since he's got a ton of experience serving up beatdowns inside the Octagon. And since the Red Ranger had a rivalry with our next entrant, Aldo couldn't be more perfect for the role.

Green Ranger/Tommy - Conor McGregor

The original green Power Ranger played by the legendary Jason David Frank is still the franchise's biggest star, so obviously the only UFC fighter for the job is Conor McGregor.

Not only do they share a love of green and enormous fan bases, but they've also been known to talk smack at their opponents (in Tommy's case, it was when he was under Rita's control). While McGregor may never get to play the green Power Ranger, we may one day see Frank inside the Octagon, as the actor is a legit mixed martial artist.
