The rematch between two former heavyweight champions has been booked for UFC 207: Amanda Nunes vs. #RondaRousey in Las Vegas. Cain Velasquez will fight Fabricio Werdum on Dec. 30 at the T-Mobile Arena.

The last time these two were in the Octagon, Werdum shocked the world when he submitted Velasquez via #guillotinechoke to win the heavyweight championship at UFC 188.

The fight will be three-round affair, and the winner will likely be in line for a title shot against champ Stipe Miocic, who knocked Werdum out at UFC 199, and retained his title at UFC 203 over Alistair Overeem.

The two waged an epic battle the first time around in June of 2015. Velasquez was the favorite going into the fight, but Werdum fought a technically perfect fight, and Velasquez looked slow and late. He gassed early in the fight before Werdum tapped him out.

The first fight took place in Mexico City, where the altitude is 7,400 feet, and it is tougher to breathe. Velasquez showed up two weeks prior to the fight to train, while Werdum arrived 34 days ahead of the time. UFC 188 became famous for the arrival of #SeaLevelCain.

Velasquez is a former two-time heavyweight champion of the world, holding victories over Brock Lesnar, Junior Dos Santos (twice), and Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva (twice). Werdum is widely regarded as one of the best submission specialists in the heavyweight division. He famously tapped out Fedor Emelianenko in Strikeforce and holds victories over Velasquez and Mark Hunt. Both fighters hold victories over Travis Browne.
