We are a little under three weeks away, but we have a small change up to the #UFCGlasgow fight card taking place on July 16.
Sources close to Champions.co have revealed that Mitch Gagnon has been forced to pull out of his fight with #BrettJohns. The Welshman will now face late replacement Albert Morales.
Johns (13-0) has not fought since making his UFC debut last year at UFC Fight Night 99 in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The former Titan FC bantamweight champion defeated Kwan Ho Kwak via a unanimous decision after a dominant 15-minutes. Johns was then expected to fight at UFC Fight Night 107, but unfortunately his scheduled opponent Ian Entwistle was pulled from the event 24-hours before the fight following doctor's advice. It was a heart breaking moment for the Welshman, but luckily for him it appears he won't be left without a dance partner for a second event running.
Morales (7-1-1) is the man who has answered the call. "The Warrior" made his UFC debut back in September 2016 when he fought Alejandro Perez to a majority draw. Since then, Morales has won one, lost one with his lost coming against Tomas Almeida and his victory over Andre Soukhamthath last March. Morales now make the trip to Glasgow, Scotland where he will fight in Europe for the first time in his career.
UFCGlasgow will be headlined by Gunnar Nelson taking on Santiago Ponzinibbio.
