If you're not first, your last. Bellator is picking up every free agent in sight in a mission to build one of the greatest rosters of all time. Why stop there? In a press release straight outta' pit row, Bellator announces they'll partner with Monster Energy and NASCAR. This doesn't just create the opportunity for some sweet, mutual decal action, they may literally have MMA fights at the races.

“I’m excited to announce Bellator’s partnership with the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. Bellator and NASCAR fans are some of the most passionate in sports and we couldn’t be happier to bring MMA and motorsports together. Monster Energy has been a great partner of ours over the years and we’re excited about the opportunity to integrate our brand into another great sports property within the Monster Energy family." — Scott Coker via official press release.

Shake and bake! The combination of NASCAR fans and MMA fans will surely be an incredible force when combined into one event. Maybe even the NASCAR racers could sneak in some fights and learn some new moves for when things get heated. The Bellator brand — and hopefully cage — will be smack dab in the middle of the roaring engines for at least four races. No word on if the fighters will wear those awesome logo jumpsuits.

Bellator MMA will be featured at the following 2017 NASCAR races:

  • Monster Energy All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Saturday, May 20
  • Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, August 19
  • Alabama 500 at Talladega Superspeedway on Sunday, October 15
  • Ford EcoBoost 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Sunday, November 19
