Bellator fighter Bobby Lashley will step inside the cage this Saturday to face Josh Appelt at Bellator 162. Lashley has carved out a respectable MMA career, with a record of 14-2.

As some people may know, Lashley enjoyed a successful career in the WWE before he signed with Bellator. But as some people may not know, Lashley also has spent time hanging out with one of the most famous men in the world: Republican presidential candidate .

Lashley, during his time, had Trump in his corner, as he wrestled Umaga, who had Vince McMahon in his corner, in a hair vs. hair match. Trump won in the 2007 Wrestlemania match, which drew a reported 1.1 million PPV buys.

So Lashley and Trump are forever connected. What does the former college wrestling champion think of Trump. It's hard to know, but he dropped some clues in this recent interview at American Top Team.

Regarding Trump, who participates in the final tonight, Lashley commented that "the pros are the state of our economy and everything right now I think it is good to put someone who is a businessman into office, whether that is Trump or not, we don't know."

"If Donald Trump is the man, so be it," Lashley said. "I have no qualms either way."

Lashley said he is pleased that Trump plans to boost the military.

He also said that working with Trump in wrestling was a pleasant experience.

"It was cool working with Trump," Lashley said. "It was one of those things that he understood what needed to be done and he made it happen ... he was real cool."
