After Paul Daley was forced to withdraw from his Bellator 163 fight with Derek Anderson, many wondered if the card could still hold up.

It certainly did!

The Bellator light heavyweight title was on the line when Liam McGeary stepped into the cage to defend against Phil Davis. The slaughter of the champ took five full rounds but Davis showed his pedigree and won the belt to be crowned the new champion via unanimous decision (50-43, 50-45, 50-44).

In addition to the main event showdown, the main card was stacked with highlight reel KOs, including one when Javy Ayala defeated Sergei Kharitonov with a :16 knockout. The other, the co-main event, when Brennan Ward defeated Saad Awad with a flurry of punches that sent Awad crashing into the canvas.
