Conor McGregor's right hand man, Artem Lobov, has just been booked for his next fight in the UFC.
Coming off his first UFC win over Chris Avila at UFC 202, Lobov will attempt to finally start a win streak in a fight with the bombastic, Teruto Ishihara at UFC Belfast. While these two come from drastically different places in the world, they do have something in common: They both share a knockout over Julian Erosa.
After three cards in a row taking place in Las Vegas, Lobov is happy to finally fight in Ireland again.
"It's a great feeling to fight in Ireland again, I've fought in Belfast on many occasions in the past. I've main evented cards in Belfast as well," Lobov told the Irish Mirror. "To be finally fighting at home is great for so many reasons. It's not just the support, fighting at home really helps in terms of preparation."
The honorary Irish Russian will share the card with another part-time SBG partner, Gunnar Nelson.
“Gunni is coming over here five weeks before the fight and Conor will be preparing for Alvarez. It’s going to be great. It will be like old times with us training alongside each other at home for a fight," said Lobov.
UFC Belfast takes place on November 19 at the SSE Arena.
