Being a teammate and training partner of #ConorMcGregor has its perks. But, it also comes with a phenomenal amount backlash.

Ahead of the UFC’s return to the Belfast for the first time since 2007, featherweight, and The Ultimate Fighter finalist, #ArtemLobov borrowed a page from UFC celebrity investor Jimmy Kimmel by reading mean Tweets from fans.

Once in the hot seat, Lobov verbalized 140-character messages from internet trolls such as “Is Artem really that bad that you can afford sparring hands down?” and "Put this dude on the 'Cut List' finally.. hes [sic] been due since the say he walk in."

In response, Lobov responded with an earnest "there's an idiot in every family."

And while Belfast will provide a hometown advantage for the Russian-born Irish national, it appears that Japanese lothario #TerutoIshihara have the support of the internet behind him.

Of course, this isn’t the first time a member of Dublin's Straight Blast Gym has participated in a mean tweets reading out mean tweets. Newly crowned two-division UFC champ Conor McGregor made an appearance prior to #UFC189.

Artem Lobov takes on Teruto Ishihara to ope the UFC Belfast main card, which is headlined by a middleweight rematch between Gegard Mousasi and Uriah Hall.
