Ricardo Lamas defeated Charles Oliveira via second round submission at UFC Fight Night: Mexico City.

Lamas executed a stunning guillotine choke by using the cage as leverage to submit Oliveira at 2:13 into the second round.

When Oliveira stepped on the scale Friday, a whopping nine pounds overweight, many thought his main card bout with Lamas would not happen, but Lamas agreed to fight Oliveira anyways, and I bet he's glad he did.

Had Lamas not gotten the tap, he would have likely lost by decision as the heavier Oliveira was dominating both on the feet and the ground.

Due to the weight issue, Oliveira has to give Lamas 30 percent of his show purse (a number yet to be revealed).

This marks the fifth fight where Oliveira has missed weight, as well as his second submission loss in a row. His last fight, against Anthony Pettis, also saw him forced to tap to a guillotine choke.

Lamas was coming off a decision loss to Max Holloway at UFC 199.
